My son recently played in a local chess tournament. He did extremely well and he and his partner ended up very high in the tournament rankings. We had never been to a chess tournament before. I really couldn’t believe how many people were there. The tournament room was filled with tons of long tables and chess sets! Really, I was kind of surprised at how large a turn out there was for this. I personally, am not all that fond of chess. To me, it’s kind of boring. But, my mind does not work the way my son’s mind does. He is far superior at the game than I am. He can anticipate his opponents future moves and strategies. Not me!
Camden is in a chess club at school. He really loves going to this club once a week after school! Many of his friends also participate in this chess club and also participated in the chess tournament.
